meaningful CIP day...

today went to do CIP for this association called Student's Advisory Centre. it is for the unfortunate children who have no parents or their parents are in jail or other mishaps. met up wif jason, justin and yu fan at J8 for lunch fist. and as usually i was "tardy king" and "shorty king" as i came the latest and was the shortest. sigh wat to do. i got a shock when i saw jason lor. he wore all black and some nice shoes. so unlike him. hehe.
met up wif some seniors at bugis mrt then et up wif meisi, the volunteer, who brought us to the collection point. after getting briefed, we set off and because i didnt wan anyone to snatch my business, i went alone. firstly i tackled the ppl near fu lu shou complex. they were quite stingy and they didnt get me much business. i entered the complex and mainly tackled the shop keepers selling buddisht items as i thought they would have a big heart. 2 shops left me dan angry and irritated lor. the 1st one was this reflexology shop. the owner decided to donate $2 to me and ask her teenage son to choose the potato chips. but the stupid busy-body son said to me
son: are u sure u are allowed to sell these things here?
me: erm excuse me sir... i am not selling. this is a charitable organization and they say that we are allowed to do this island-wide.
son: but still u shouldnt be selling it here.
me: they said it is island-wide so this place is on the island. unless u are denying so.
mother: aiyah son... nvm la. (pointing to me) thank you and u can go.
so wat lor the son. ok then the 2nd shop is the buddah ites shop. when i entered to ask, the shop keeper said ok no problem i will donate. then she ask me to come in. then she and her husband took out a small bag out 5cents and started to slowly tonk into y can. and they still had the cheek to laugh lor. i was like staring into space coz they were taking so long.
left the complex and slowly made y way across the whole stretch of streets to sim lim square. got some donations la. sim lim squares rocks lor. i got most of y business there. i approached alot of shop keepers and they donated generously. some even recommended me to other stalls. 3 ladys left e a good impression on them. the 1st 2 ladies donated $2 each which was quite good and the last lady donated $2 then another $2 and another $2. she took 2 bread and the last one requested e to give it to a an giving out flyers there. the 3 ladies were all giving out flyers and were foreigners lor. why cant more s'poreans be like them? after finishing y first big bag of food stuff, i returned to the collection point and took another bag. the 3 other volunteers were all laughing and praising me for my fast completation of the food stuff. next i went to the high class bugis junction and got quite alot of business too. i bought some sushi while working and bought a drink too. haha. saw quite a few nice things.
in the end, i collected the ost. yayies. clap clap clap. haha. sry for being so ego. went shopping wif justin and yu fan then went home. quite nice la this event. morale is to go to sim lim square in the future for flag day! yay!
